Assalamualaikum and good morning!
Now haven't I been gone for so long already :) I hope it's not too late to wish you a very happy Eid Mubarak! May Allah accept our prayers, and that His blessings remain on us, InsyaAllah..
Since this year's Eid is the last one in Brisbane, I've tried cherishing it the best I could, with the presence of close friends and colleagues. Though I'd have to say that last year's was a bit more happening (compared to my four-hour class on the first Syawal this year..) but then I'm happy that I finally got to perform my Eid prayer with the mass at St. Lucia field! Apparently, I missed for Aildilfitri last year and then I was already in Atherton for fruitpicking come Aidiladha. I've been looking forward for the mass prayer like since last year so pardon me :)
These few weeks have also been filled with constant observations, thoughts and reflections. As little as I knew about my religion, I knew enough to know that there was no other force in the world that could stop me from submitting to my Lord. I have been blessed to have lived up strong and healthy up until today, when on the other part of the world someone my age had just lost her beloved. I've learned that for every moment of my life, I should never feel unsatisfied or burdened by the challenges He put upon me. And that I should always remember Him whenever I feel sad or lonely, because the fact is that He has given me wonderful friends here who will always be with me and brace me up as long as I keep believing in them. Aahhh why so teary :'(
Moving on.
Alhamdulillah things are going well so far. I'm currently in my mid semester break (which will only last for a week..) but it should be good enough just to have some days out with the girls. Last week has been hectic just as much as it has been fun. I had a group presentation with Shiha, Aisyah and Jemi last Thursday, followed by a microteaching session with Shiha on Friday. I believed it all went well, let's just hope we'll get good grades too :)
Jiji, Shiha and I then booked ourselves seats for 'Despicable Me' at Southbank during the weekends, and boy that movie was just the perfect fit after a striving week of presentation preps! I reckon that everyone have already watched it (I'm always behind in movie updates afterall) so if you haven't already, where on earth have you been? ;p
I still have assignments waiting for me patiently to get back to them, and so I should sooner or later... wish me luck!
